Horrible service. Was seated and waited 10 mins with no service. Others were seated, got drinks and ordered appetizers without a glance at our table. More employees walking around talking then waiting on tables. Will stick with Sumo Monkey down the street with awesome service.

We went for lunch on my husbands lunch break. We sat for an hour and no food. Server kept avoiding our table. When she finally brought food it wasn't what we ordered. The kitchen rushed to throw food in a to-go box for us, and the sauce spilled everywhere in the bag and all over my car. Once I finally had a chance to eat, no utensils. Did they still charge me full price? Yup. No apologies from them.

This is a great LOCALLY owned Thai/sushi restaurant-family owned (not a fast food or chain place). The staff and manager are very friendly and attentive, they go out of there way to make sure customers have a great experience even on crazy busy nights. The food is great and sushi is fresh and great portions. We love the mango curry with chicken very rich flavor and nice veggies. Some of our favorite rolls are: Super crunch, Dragon, Orlando, Beauty and the Beast, ceviche (spicy), sushi bomb. Sushi here is some of the BEST I have had and we just got back from DC area and west coast where we ate mainly Thai and sushi. They are so accommodating here. I substitute some of the veggies in curry (no problem here) and we like little extra chicken and veggies in pad Thai...again no up charge and always with a smile. Everything comes mildly spiced so if you like really spicy you need to order this way. Our opinion: LOCAL gem with fresh food, great sushi, very reasonably priced for portions! It is sad to see some reviewers so critical and impatient when restaurant was so busy over holidays. The manager told me this was their busiest holiday season ever and they did everything they could to keep up including hiring more staff for this time. If there is a 20 minute wait why complain...this is good it means people want to eat here because food is good. In DC average wait at a good restaurant any night was 45-60 minutes. Maybe people around here are just used to walking in and sitting down but PR has really good food and word is out around town. I would rather wait or see the place packed...it's good sign. I have been to Thai Thai before and had to wait, sad part is I also had bad service, wrong items came out, and they never apologize or try and accommodate/fix problems. I think we are lucky to have such a top notch quality local Thai/sushi place with a manager who cares so much about food quality, staff, and making sure customers leave satisfied and happy. Thanks Mino and all staff at PR.

Friendly staff. Food was pleasant tasting bit too mild, especially considering that I asked for the tom yum soup and Panang curry to be boosted to "medium hot". The latter especially was too sweet. The sushi appetizer was very pleasant. Invited to watch the nearby Space-X launch, everyone was a bit disappointed when the launch was scrubbed due to poor weather. By the time I left, the place was filling up...

Pacific RIM. Asian fusion food. We sat at the sushi bar and the first thing we did was order a beer! The waitress was very attentive! She asked if we needed any help with the menu and gave us plenty of time to make our sushi selection. We ordered the sushi combo boat for one which came with a good selection of sushi/sashimi. We asked the chef to make our roll extra spicy so he added some Thai peppers; it was delicious! The sushi chefs spoke good English and offered up great choices. I think the best thing we had was the scallop basket....delicious. The check came in spun sugar (cotton candy) which was very tasty. Things I would change: One. People sitting at the sushi bar shouldn't be served pre-cut sushi. Two. The seats are kind of low so you can't see your chef making your sushi. Three. It's hard to hear...it's a little noisy. Don't get me wrong, I like the music and the TV. but the ceilings are high so it's like a big empty space and it echos. All in all we had fun and we would definitely go back. Highly recommend this restaurant!

OK, I just ate here for the first time today and I think this is the beginning of a wonderful new foodie relationship! I was absolutely, positively blown away and look forward to MANY happy returns. I'm not sure when Rte 3 in Merritt Island became a hot spot for sushi/Thai fusion, but I'm usually wary of those types of places because the food tends to be "blah" at best. Is this market just not adventurous enough when it comes to ethnic cuisine? Is neither sushi nor Thai popular enough to stand alone in a sleepy beachy town? Regardless, just go ahead and put your preconceived ideas to rest and give Pacific Rim a try! This place is always packed and I can see why. For starters, the mango yellow curry is among the Top 5 best curries I've eaten in my entire foodie life, in FL and in the Greater NY metro area where I'm from. It had the perfect blend of sweetness and spice, with a smooth velvety texture from all the coconut milk, and the chunks of mango mixed in with the chicken and veggies were such a luscious touch. The spice was perfect and I appreciate that they didn't make my food "white girl mild" like many of the sushi-Thai hybrid places do even when you ask for "Thai spicy" seasoning. Even the lunch portion was generous and thoroughly satisfying. It was so good, I nearly re-enacted the popular scene from When Harry Met Sally - but resisted the urge because children were present. My less adventurous boyfriend had a California Roll, which was presented so elegantly on the plate with pretty little carrot curlicues and - wait for it - a chunk of wasabi sculpted to look like a cute little green snake! It even had a carrot for a tongue. The service was ultra-friendly and the setting was spacious, clean and contemporary. This would be a great place to bring a big group. What else can I say? This place is a gem and I wish them the very best of success!

I think Pacific Rim does a good job. We visit about once a week and the sushi has been consistent. Often we have done birthday parties and large social gatherings on the back deck which is fully enclosed. The sea of love and avalanche roll are both one of our favorites. For our small area my feeling is Pacific RIm is one of the better sushi bars in our area.

I'm not sure Merritt Island really needed another Thai/Sushi place, but it's nice to see some life on this corner of Merritt Ave. and Courtenay. The decor inside is clean and modern with a large sushi bar taking center stage. All of the seating options involved individual tables and chairs, except for the sushi bar. The tables are slightly intimate, but not too bad. Fortunately or unfortunately, the restaurant acoustics are quite loud due to all the hard, flat surfaces and open nature of the dining area. It keeps you from having to listen to your neighbor's conversation, but at times it's hard to hear your own party. There are some patio tables as well, which would be my preferred option if it's not extremely hot or cold outside. All of the sushi rolls we sampled tonight were quite good, although pricey for what you get. The Sea of Love, Monkey Leg and Sushi bomb all met expectations, but there's really no difference between this place and Thai Thai. For $14 - $16 a roll, they should be good. We also sampled the Pad Thai, but I didn't think it was very good. It was greasy, extra dark and lacking in the vegetable dept. for a "veggie" Pad Thai. If our dish was truly representative of their version of Pad Thai then I would not order it again. The ginger salads were quite tasty and I applaud the use of fresh spring lettuce mix vs. standard issue, crappy iceberg. The Tom Yum Ga soup was quite delectable as well. I guess I'd be inclined to go to Sumo Monkey for Thai food, Wabi Sabi or Saigon for Vietnamese food, and Thai Thai for sushi. Overall, I just didn't dig the vibe or the food. If someone suggested going here, I wouldn't fight them on it, but I doubt I'd suggest the place on my own. It's not bad, but we do have quite a few options around for this kind of food. Dec 2014 update: I went back and I'm still underwhelmed by this place. We tried 2 different kinds of sushi, and both were lackluster with less than fresh veggies and rather diminutive portions. Someone had Pad Thai, and it was not good at all. The red, yellow and panang curries were OK, but I've had better elsewhere.

Pacific Rim Restaurant for Sushi & Thai Fusion -Fresh Food, Friendly Owners We arrived around 12:15 on a Thursday afternoon. Since we were early, we easily found a parking space in their front private lot. Immediately, I recognized the location since my husband and I previously shopped for seafood when the building was a seafood market and eatery. As we entered the restaurant, I noticed that the trio of new owners had not changed the building itself too much yet it had a completely updated ambiance inside. Wow! The décor is now contemporary and chic. The glass tops on the rectangular tables in the main dining area are covered underneath with black tablecloths giving this area a sophisticated look. Chairs are a rich dark wood with black painted legs and supports. Three attractive bright tangerine lighting fixtures hang down from the high ceiling over the long sushi bar at the rear. The 10 bar stools match the chairs. Attractive wall decorations grace the light colored walls. Two fish hangings captivated me by an exit sign. Just to the right of this center area is a second section separated by a cutout tangerine painted wall. This intimate area looks inviting with lovely oriental wall hangings and potted plants. Next time if I come for dinner, I will ask to seat there. Multi-hued brown stone (?) flooring adds richness to the areas. We, however, decided to sit in the enclosed patio area just to the left of the main dining area. It was unoccupied at this early time. Large windows cover the upper portions of the walls bringing in bright vistas of swaying palms, which block out views of the parking lot and street. The wood planking on the floors and walls add warmth to the ambiance while glass outdoor tables and chairs remind you that you are in an enclosed patio. Our server, Caitlyn, was most polite, helpful and patient. She quickly arrived with menus. I was overwhelmed with all the choices on the extensive menu. While we decided what to order, Caitlyn took our beverage orders. She was very helpful with her explanations of the dishes. For mild dishes, she advised us to avoid those with curry or Volcano sauce. We listened! Since I had never tried Thai food before, I decided to stay with the Thai offerings. I quickly found the Pad Thai and decided to order that. Pad Thai consists of rice noodles, sautéed with egg, bean sprouts, scallions and ground peanuts. Two of my friends ordered it also and the fourth had the Fried Rice. Pad Thai Lunch Special, $7.95 comes with your choice of chicken, pork or beef. Served with the Thai Lunch Specials are steamed rice, egg roll and soup of the day or a salad. I chose the chicken addition and the salad; my other two friends chose pork and the vegetable soup. Our fourth diner ordered the Fried Rice Thai Lunch Special, $7.95 with pork and the vegetable soup. Fried Rice Thai Lunch Special is stir- fried chicken, pork or beef with egg, onions, scallions, tomatoes and carrots. Most of the Thai Lunch Specials are $7.95-$8.95, which is quite reasonable; Fish and Duck are $9.95. The Japanese Lunch Specials are $9.95 all the way up to $16.95 (for Sashimi & Unagi Set - 8 slices of fresh fish, grilled eel with rice and 4 pieces of California Roll.) My chilled salad of fresh mixed greens with thick slices of cucumber, tomato and carrot was delicious. I was glad that I had ordered the salad since the vegetable soup was a smaller portion. It contained small pieces of thin vegetables in a clear broth. My friends said that it was piping hot and delicious. Our main dishes soon arrived on huge platters. Could I eat it all? I ate my egg roll first while it was still crunchy. It was so tasty that I now regret that I did not order a take-out appetizer of them, (2) Thai Spring Rolls, $3.95. I wished that I had a knife to cut it but I managed with my fork. The sweet sauce served with it was mildly spicy but I enjoyed it. I tasted the Fried Rice and it was delicious, too. We enjoyed our dishes although one diner said that some of her pork pieces were overcooked. Next time she would order her dish with one of the seafood options for $1.50 extra. Most of my chicken pieces were moist and I squirted my lime wedge over them for extra moistness. Our huge portions were too much for most of us to eat, so we requested take-home boxes for our leftovers. Caitlyn also thoughtfully offered us plastic bags. Service throughout our meal was attentive and efficient. Caitlyn filled our water glasses as needed. She sweetly complied with my request for her to take a photo and it came out well. Thank you, Caitlyn. Although the room where we dined was now filled with diners, noise was not a problem.

Amazing sushi! My family and I are huge fans of this restaurant, we even went to celebrate my graduation! Just be at peace with the fact that you're going to eat fried food, and you'll enjoy it. I recommend anything with the word "monkey" in the title... except the jalapeño poppers, those are too spicy for me. The monkey brains however, are delicious. It's basically fried avocado and spicy crab. SO good! The sea of love roll is another favorite. I would say it's one of the best sushi places in Brevard!

Outstanding food and value for money. Staff are excellent. Great atmosphere and the restrooms are impeccable. Open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. No up sale for water as they serve free filtered water. Add it to your list of must visit restaurants :-)

Delicious! We had a sushi combo, pad Thai, and green curry. My kids had child's meals of teriyaki steak and shroom tempura. We also had tempura ice cream for dessert. The food was outstanding, service was impeccable, and prices were very reasonable.

I really liked this place and if I could I would rather have given it 3.5 stars rather than three (but maybe someday Yelp will get around to that.) Anyway, this was a place I've long wanted to stop in and try and did so on a rainy Saturday evening. I was glad we did. We stopped in with dear friends of ours and were sat out in their patio area. At first I wasn't entirely happy, but I ended up liking it better than sitting inside. The menu provided by our waitress was overwhelming (in a good way) - so much to choose, from appetizers to Thai meals, to sushi, and to drinks. Everyone picked something different from the menu and wasn't disappointed (mostly). For appetizers, we chose the fried wontons, well made and tasty with the orange marmalade dipping sauce. My wife had the Red Curry - she ordered it mild, but it was much spicier than what you would expect for "mild." Still good, just hotter than she would have liked. I had the Pad Woon Sen - a huge portion that I wanted to finish off but stopped myself before I ended up overeating. One of our friends had sushi, the dragon roll (which looked like a dragon), and the other had the Red Curry as well. She wanted it mild and was surprised to find it spicier than you would expect. Wait staff was friendly and efficient, chatty, like I like 'em, but she seemed a bit rushed to get us out the door. Other than that, she was great. The big surprise was the banana-flavored cotton candy at the end of the meal. We liked it so much she brought out another pair for us to have - it was great. Overall, it was a great experience and I can't wait to go back. Just be careful though, and as for no spice in your curry since mild is way hotter than you would think...

A great place to go on a date. Consistently has great, fresh sushi, albeit a little pricey. Offer outdoor seating. Seating here is limited so be prepared. Their waiting area is not the best either. Great service. Definitely a must try if you're into sushi. Might be the best sushi in the area.

I have heard the term "tender-crisp" when referring to veggies, this place has the concept down to a science. Food was fantastic, ginger dressing on the salad is made on-site an not over-powering. My meal had just the right amount of veggies to meat. Some places skimp on the meat and overwhelm a dish with veg, not here. Good variety of styles of Thai and proteins to choose from and a kids menu to boot. Large private area if having a larger party or gathering. Will be back

If you have any food allergies at all don't come here. I informed them that I'm allergic to crab and Krab, shrimp and lobster. I also mentioned that I'm very concerned about cross-contamination. The chirashi that I ordered showed up in a boat (it's clear they don't know what chirashi is) with crab on it. Some of the crab was resting on the other slices of sashimi. I pointed out that there was crab and they took it off the boat, wiped the area with a cloth and put seaweed down where the crab had been. When I asked it they had made a new one with a knife that hadn't cut the crab, they assured me that they hadn't made new one and that this one was fine. DON'T EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES

Awesome Mango Curry. Was a takeout and could've used more rice but flavor was perfect! Looking forward to trying more.

Good atmosphere and good food. The interior has just the right balance for a casual outing or an intimate date night. Super Crunch sushi roll - good but not as crunchy as Thai Thai's. Seemed like more cream cheese though. Pick your preference. Mango Pineapple Chicken Curry - good and plenty. Don't make the mistake I did by trying to put the rice in the larger dish and pour the curry over it. I had a small mess when it overflowed some. Receipt in a plastic champagne glass that has cotton candy wrapped around it. Nice finishing touch. 1/14/2013 UPDATE - I tried the Garlic Duck at the recommendation of the waiter. Deliciously crispy!

I've tried to get here a few times before, but the crowded parking lot scared me away! I'm so glad I didn't let it bother me this time! I'm not a sushi fan, but the shrimp curry Penang style was absolutely to die for! I will be back, but will wait for a seat in the patio where it's not so loud!

We just moved here from up north and looking for good sushi, this was great. I had 2 rolls (way to much food) they were huge and my husband had the Green Curry both everything we had was excellent!! Service was great we sat at the bar as there were no table open but the Sushi chef was very nice and gave us good info on the rolls. We have found our new Sushi and Thai restaurant on the Island. Just note it is small inside so if you come during the rush you may have to wait but its worth it.

I love sushi! And this place has some that is really good! Not to mention reasonably priced! Have been here a couple times with friends and have never had a bad experience. There sake is really good too! I've tried almost all, only one I didn't care for was the hot sake and that's just a personal preference. Our waitress was very attentive as well. Over all an excellent experience will definitely go back and take my sushi loving friends!

I was hoping for better here. We had watched the reviews, and they looked good. We were on our way to our favorite Merritt Island lunch spot (now Wabi Sabi) but I told my wife I wanted to try this out. We could bail if she didn't like the menu. The menu looked fine, so we ordered. At a new Thai/Fusion place, I usually order the Teriyaki chicken combo. I just cross my fingers that the chicken won't be thin and dry. My wife ordered (as she had for years) Pho Ga. And she specifically said "I want soup." They blew it. They came with a dry noodle dish. They even KNEW they blew it because they brought it out before both our meals were served and said "this isn't what you want, is it?" Nope, so she just ordered the classic Tom Ka Gai. We came here so she could have some soup. I was feeling bad. My Combo came. Nothing special. The fish was a bit mushy. The chicken was dry. My fried sushi thing (I never know the name of it) was almost cold. I shared my meal with my wife as they cooked her meal. Meanwhile, the place is loud. Music is playing, they have tile floors, glass topped tables, only one textile on the wall to absorb sound, a baby was crying...and beyond the baby, ourselves and one other couple, the place was empty. And it it was loud. Mostly from the chefs, music and baby. We don't mind babies because we brought up our own (but never took them to a restaurant). My wife's soup came. I finished my meal. It was a clean, bright place. But I had to apologize to my wife several time for not taking her to Wabi Sabi, which was where she wanted to go. I wanted to try the new place. Honestly, Wabi Sabi has blown my pick-up order two times, I thought they were slipping and wanted to give Pacific Rim a shot. This was the shot. A solid three stars. Nothing sucked. Nothing was great. Atmosphere LOOKED good, but the noise killed that. The iced tea was actually VERY good. Service...well, they tried. Ameture. New guy. Don't talk to us over the partition wall, come to our table. We are not at McDonalds. Get our order right, don't overcook the chicken. Put up some fabric to absorb the sound, and maybe run over to Thai Thai III at Cape Canaveral and find out why their sushi is better than yours. And then we'll be back. Otherwise, we're sticking with our old Wabi Sabi favorite when we want Vietnamese food, and Thai Thaii III for our sushi. Still would like to find a good place for classic Japanese food. This isn't it. Again, solid 3 stars. Not bad food. But it could be better. I've had this boring combo at every restaurant I've eaten at. I'm still waiting for someone to bring it up to speed. Unless they change their ways, I'm calling this one. Six months and they're out unless they have a years financing. Every restaurant should have two years financing to begin with. Hope the best for you. It was a used car-lot not much more than a year ago. We need great restaurants in the area. Step up. Otherwise, from now on we're going to Wabi Sabi, our local spot. We gave the Pacific Rim a shot. We really did. We were hoping for the best. Pho Ga is Pho Ga. Three stars for food we could eat.

worst sushI we have ever had. Service was terrible. Had to ask our waitress for plates, for wasabi, for the salad thaat was supposed to come w our order, and for another beer after sitting for 20 minutes without anything to drink. The sushi rice was dense and as sticky as glue. I've read all of the great reviews but our experience was nothing like those described by others. This was or first visit to Pacific Rim and we will never go back.

Their chicken pad thai is to die for- or at least worth chipping a tooth over. We have eaten here twice and both times (yes both times) we have been here one of us has ended up with a tiny unidentifiable, piece of what appeared to be a pebble or a piece of crushed quartz in our noodles. The first time it happened, we didn't say anything as we aren't the type to complain. The next time it happened, we felt the need to bring it to the attention of our server. While she never apologized or made any attempt to appease us, she did mention it to the manager who apologized and then proceeded to ignore us for the rest of our visit. While the food is tasty, the service left much to be desired and now that we are 2 for 2 on the rocks in our noodles, i'm a bit leery about returning. If it weren't for the rocks, I'd totally give them 4 or 5 stars.

We have been here many times. And my 'rents seem to eat here at least once a week. It is a very laid back Asian restaurant. There is 'outside' seating which is enclosed. The tables on the patio are what you would find in a back yard...which is good. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile to answer your questions. The restaurant does get busy, so expect your server to be all over the place trying to help everyone. The food is very good and the portions are large. We have had a number of dishes including, but not limited to, Pad Thai, Vietnamese Noodle Salad, Monkey Brains, Hawaiian Salmon Pineapple, Pad See Eauw, Tofu Soup, Miso Soup, and a number of sushi rolls. The Monkey Brains were different and good. It is a nice appetizer to share...as well as just, order so you can say Monkey Brains. All the food tasted fresh and came out exactly as ordered. You do get cotton candy with your check. Pacific Rim is our go to Asian-style restaurant. You should give it a try.

I used to be a regular here but have recently moved so I just wanted to do a little write up and thank the sushi guys for all their hard work and always doting on me and my lunch companions when we dine there. The Bomber is my jam and I get it every time, it is by far the best sushi dish I've had in Florida, so mad props for that! Also have had their Pad Thai and curry, both are pretty tasty, as well. I'd give this place five stars if it weren't for their spotty service. Again, I'm an industry professional and I have been to Pacific Rim probably a couple dozen times over a year period. The FOH needs work (have had some rude/inexperienced/slow service,) but the food is amazing and worth every penny. No skimping on the fresh fish here! Oh, and all you sushi places need to stop upcharging for brown rice. I'm tired of being overcharged for something that might cost you MAYBE pennies, and should just be absorbed by the owners as part of being hospitable.

Fresh tastes, distinctive decor, and convenient location add up to a sure win and regular drop in. White tuna melts in yo mouth. Sure to harbor all the beautiful Merritt folk. Safe place to Invest on your list of favorites. Monkey brains, sashimi lunch box, and wabi sabi roll all great bets! Kampai!

Lately it seems they may be taking their early success for granted. I've been there quite a bit, eating in and take out. Service is slipping, staff has a bit of an attitude; like they are doing you a favor. Ate there this evening, appetizer good; spicy shrimp roll, not so much. Shrimp was negligible and not the least bit spicy, except an extra bit of wasabi. Service adequate at best. Have enjoyed most of my trips there, most of the misses were due to service; take out orders being wrong, mistakes caught before I left with the wrong food (when I questioned the price discrepancy), of course I had to wait for my order to be re- prepared; a problem when you called ahead with your order because you are on your lunch hour. Other times, eating in, (twice) I have ordered appetizer and dinner, dinner comes first. On one visit I asked my server about the appetizer," it's coming." It doesn't, asked again, once again," it's coming." Finish meal, ask again about the appetizer, "Oh, yeah, I'll check on it," " I'm finished, take it off my bill." At this point server still checked and told me they hadn't started it yet (in spite of having told me "it's coming" twice previously. No apologies, I cancelled appetizer, they seemed genuinely surprised! Love the Pacific Rim special fried rice but sometimes it's too greasy. Don't bother with the Vietnamese Noodle Salad, so bad I sent it back. If you want an appetizer don't order your meal until you've given them ample time to start the appetizer or even wait until you get it. I've recommended the place to lots of friends and have yet to get very positive feedback. I hope they get their act together, even restaurants offering a good product can be killed by poor service. Would hate to see them blow it.

I love the food and the atmosphere! The tofu pad thai was delicious and the shrimp panang was awesome! Try the monkey brains for an appetizer.

Pacific Rim, I had such high hopes for you. However, your scattered slew of good and bad reviews suggested that my visit could be either a hit or miss. A sunny Monday night, I made my way to your humble abode hoping that a nice sushi experience awaited me. Your parking lot is nice and the exterior of the building is well designed. Unfortunately, the inside seems to be lacking something and is rather cold. Your projection of being Merritt Island's premier sushi and thai establishment quickly goes down the drain the moment that your servers open their mouths. The night of my visit there was a new employee training with several of the servers who were extremely rude and condescending to this new girl. I was hoping that my server wouldn't be so into herself but I was wrong. Her snotty, Im hot shit attitude was less than becoming and her insincere apologies after spilling a glass of water on our table was appalling. Unlike other reviews here, our appetizers came before our meal and the sushi was presented nicely. While their menu offers many choices, it seems that this establishment lacks focus. Their diverse menu leads to subpar and lackluster plates. If you have any taste for simple rolls (say avocado) this is not the place to find them. Here you will find all sorts of elaborate mouth stuffing rolls. (hint guys: not a date place) and assorted thai dishes. The rolls that we had were a-ok but nothing special enough to draw me back. I would not recommend Pacific Rim to anyone for sushi or for any level of quality service. Their Thai food might change my mind but my desire to give them another chance is slim and I've got places I'd rather go first. Unfortunately, Pacific Rim tries way to hard to present itself as a more upscale Wabi Sabi and they're failing at achieving that. With blah food, lack of direction, and rude wait staff skip Pacific Rim and go somewhere where you will be treated with respect and can have quality sushi. Note: It is true that they bring your bill to the table in a glass covered in cotton candy. While unique, I find this concept extremely gross and odd. First, the server touches the receipt that goes into the cotton candy that youre supposed to eat. Second, I felt extremely uncomfortable putting my cash on the edge of the table so that our inattentive server would see that we were set to settle the bill.

The interior is all right but a little bit less of sense. We ordered the soup and lunch specials. Soup is good but the chill paste beef is too salty and the beef seems not good quality. But just 8 dollar, don't expect too much. So compared the price, food is not bad but I would rather pay more and have good quality. And we waited for 15 minutes to have the check, the waitress was just playing around and it wasn't busy at all.

We really enjoyed it! I did think the inside was quite loud but we sat on the a/c'd patio and it was nice and quiet. The food was delicious, service was attentive and friendly, and our check came with cotton candy! I will definitely return to explore the rest of the menu.

Recently, I have heard good things about Pacific Rim. We visited them just after they had opened and, quite frankly, they had kitchen and service problems to iron out. We decided we would give them some time to iron out the kinks and try them again. So, I tried them for lunch. The place was somewhere between 25-35% full. I walked to the screened area which had a couple of people at four other tables. The waitress was taking orders from a table, went over to a second table to take orders and went to the kitchen. She came back, delivered food and went to the kitchen, she came back with drinks, made eye contact with me and delivered the drinks... this went on a couple of more times. Then she came over to me and asked what I wanted to drink. I asked for a glass of water and a menu. She went back to the kitchen and came back with some food for another table. She then came to the table next to me, took their order, picked up their menus and went back to the kitchen. I looked over at the lady sitting at the table next to me; she shrugged her shoulders, laughed and said, what do you expect, this is Merritt Island. We are now getting close to 15 minutes and no menu and no drink. The waitress came back with more food for a table, looked at me and said, oh, your drink. She left again. I was running out of time and got up to leave, I passed her... she still had no drink or menu for me. Sigh. I hear the food is good here, but I wouldn't know. This place seems to do a good business and I certainly like their menu (although, I had to see it on line, because I never actually got one at the restaurant). I guess the people of Merritt Island either don't know what good service is or have completely given up on trying to get it. Too bad.

Awesome food, awesome service! Super fresh seafood and lovely presentations! We had a mix of Thai and Japanese dishes. The sushi is beautiful and skillfully made. The Thai food is some of the best we've had! Spring rolls are 2 for $4... A little high, but they were delicious!

Updating again - as I should. I eat here at least once a week, and occasionally twice. If you're looking for fabulous sushi (freshest fish) - with a great selection of rolls for those looking for specific varieties of fish and combinations. Also, the chefs are more than willing to make specialty rolls, just ask. The sushi chefs here are very popular - one of them was followed by many people from his previous restaurant. A few of my favorite rolls are the Armageddon, Red Jae, Dirty Swat and Drop it Like it's Hot (Mikey has to be there for this roll). Prices for a la carte nigiri and sashimi are reasonable. This is one of the few sushi restaurants in Brevard that serves Uni - hard to find! It comes in on Thursdays - and is usually gone by Friday night - if you're lucky, early on Saturday. They have a moderate sake list - but if you're not a Sake drinker, a good selection of red/white wines as well as the usual Asian beers. One last thing - they serve many other Asian dishes other than sushi, of which I've only had the Tom Kha Gai and Mango curry - both awesome. Other people I've dined with have always enjoyed the non-sushi fare.

Fantastic. Yes, the 'Monkey Brains' thing was great. The avacado used was fresh, fry coating was crisp and clean, filling was a really good match too. Seaweed salad was really good, I have always had mine with more sesame oil flavor, but the sweeter , mirin? version here may be a new favorite. Great spicy tuna roll. Spicy tuna roll and seaweed salad are my sushi craving items I judge a place by and this place was a winner. The "King Kong roll combo" was huge and so good. Portions are large so be hungry. Quality is outstanding.

Avoid. Service was crazy slow but that's fine if the food and ambience are good. They are not. I kept smelling faint urine smell behind or underneath the seat. But the food... The menu is all over the map and has way too much. I wanted something light so I got the Ninja udon which had five tiny pieces of beef (a lovely shade of gray) and flavorless broth. But the sin was that the four tempura shrimp came dunked deep into the noodle hot tub. Wtf would possess you to take the best part of tempura, the crispy fried goodness, and destroy it by making it soggy. Skip and get BBQ next door.

I definitely come back here for more fried rice. Their fried rice is so delicious and ... a lot (big portion ) but I think it would be more delicious if they add some basil leaves in. Same thing for Tom Yum Goong, basil leaves and more lime juice would make it more Thai than Vietnamese sweet and sour soup. Overall I like this place, like their cotton candy at the end of the meal ( I ate it like a kid --- with smiling face). Will come back there for more. P/s: my phone died, couldn't take any pics

Let me first say as a new resident of Merritt Island, I find it very funny that all of the local sushi restaurants are also Thai restaurants. Totally different cuisine, but I'll let that go. I am super picky about sushi. I've had it in many places across the country and internationally. I have tried sushi twice here now and the Thai three times. I am a fan and will continue to eat here. The fish is fresh and there is more fish than rice in the rolls. The garlic chicken is delicious and the pad thai is good (not the best I've had but not the worst). The service is friendly and fast during lunch - they never let my glass get less than half full. At dinnertime, the servers seem in way over their heads. The small parking area is full during dinnertime, too. It is hard to find a spot. Good food and lots of variety of sushi rolls. Great service, although overloaded later in the day. I love this place and would highly recommend.

I really hate writing bad reviews but I had to with Pacific Rim. I am an out of Towner here for work. I was looking for some good sushi for lunch so I picked the best place yelp could lead me. Walking through the door I saw "Best sushi in Merritt island" and thought, "Yes I found a spot!" Service was great. I ordered about $60 worth of sushi including tip anticipating the goodness to come. The gentleman's chirashi plate next to me looked amazing so I got even more excited. Then my plate comes... My all my nigiri sushi was cut in half. Wtf!!! Who does that? What the hell let's eat I'm hungry right? Rice was cold and undercooked fish was ok but should've been cold. My salmon skin handrolls was probably the best thing had... Nope I left one on the plate. The beer was thing I had! Thanks guys. Thanks for nothing. I will not recommend anyone from my work place to visit.

Good summer rolls. Yummy duck curry, but a bit sweet. Pad Thai is good. Sushi is not good- flavorless, uninspired, and expensive.

Delicious! We had a sushi combo, pad Thai, and green curry. My kids had child's meals of teriyaki steak and shroom tempura. We also had tempura ice cream for dessert. The food was outstanding, service was impeccable, and prices were very reasonable.

Best sushi around town! This restaurant is fabulous! Anytime relatives come from out of town this restaurant is always the first place they want to go. Excellent food and excellent service.

Too bad.

Too bad.

Kampai!

Sat at sushi bar. A lot of chefs. We ordered the steamed dumplings . Very good. Like the pork inside. Then had Pan se Thai ? Like Pad Thai but with glass noodles . Nuts on top and a few nice pieces of chicken. But mostly small little pieces . Busy place. Clean

I had shrimp tempura roll and it just tasted like rice and the sauce that came with it was sweet and nasty. My husband has had chirashi in excellent upscale Sushi restaurants in other cities and it was less expensive and more interesting and flavorful than it was here.

Anytime I'm in Merritt Island, I make it a point to come visit. They have an extensive menu featuring Thai, Vietnamese, and Japanese samplings. Everything looks and sounds amazing, but I cannot bring myself to order anything but the sushi. It's delicious. The roll that keeps me coming back is the Sea of Love, but everything I've tried is fresh and delicious.

Our current favorite place to get sushi and thai food in Merritt Island. Probably my favorite sushi restaurant in Brevard County, really. Extremely consistent, fresh sushi. Their rolls are generously sized. Some of our favorites are the Dragon Roll, Red Rainbow Roll, and Key West Roll. Also you have to try their "Monkey Brains" - avocado stuffed with sushi tuna and crab, then tempura fried. It's amazing. Their Japanese & Thai food is also delicious. I find myself typically ordering either chicken or scallops cooked "volcano" style. Their Pad Woon Sen style of Thai dishes is another solid choice. And they give you a fun "glass" of cotton candy with your check. Kind of a whimsical last touch, I think.

Great sushi! Superb service! Love the monkey thumbs!! They really take care of you and they catered to my 10 year old who will only eat Ahi Tuna, it's his favorite! They bring out cotton candy with the bill too!! Awesome!

My family and I were looking for a good Asian restaurant. We relied on Yelp. We were very happy with our first visit to Pacific Rim. It was busy but we were promptly seated. The waiter was extremely busy but was efficient. Service was slow but the restaurant was packed for a Tuesday night. Food was excellent! Clean and well presented sushi. Good Thai dishes. Food across the board was excellent. My son was excited with the cotton candy presented with the bill but he was so full he couldn't eat it. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The sushi is really worth the visit.

Food was pretty good, I'd give them around an 8 out of 10 because it wasn't perfectly amazing. Some of the sushi we had fell apart and wasn't cut all the way through but tasted great. Also this is the only sushi place I've ever been to where it took AN HOUR to get our food after we ordered. I heard there was a party of 20 but that's no excuse for delaying everyone else's orders in the restaurant. All the tables around us were waiting as well. Hire more people for the busier nights.
